GFOSS in collaboration with its founding member GRNET conducted an open design contest in which 13 projects were selected for micro funding.

The projects that have been selected are innovative and may be reproduced easily by others. The goal of these projects is the development of systems and objects that are designed and implemented through the use of free and shared information related to materials and software.

All projects are designed in such a way that local governments may easily order them from local SME’s.

All designs are open and available with open licenses for reproduction and further development by all.

The process for selecting the projects was through an open call. The participants were invited to fill an online form with their personal details and the description of their project proposal. The 13 projects were selected by an experts panel.

All projects are available in github (https://github.com/ellak-monades-aristeias).
